What a busy month so far!

Wow! It's been an incredibly busy couple of weeks, but I'm so proud of everything I've achieved even if it took me far longer than I'd anticipated.

Well, let's just say, I seriously underestimated what was needed to get my first patterns written up, photographed, published and onto the web but I did it and I have a published pattern. Does that make me a crochet designer? I don't know. I think I'm suffering from imposter syndrome.

So what have I been up to behind the scenes? Rather a lot! I've reinstalled and configured a laptop that enabled me to design and build the website. I've set up social media accounts and Pinterest boards. I've opened an Etsy shop and, hopefully, by the end of the day I'll have a Ravelry shop too. I've also researched video editing and pattern writing and that's just the necessary techie bit.

I've also been doing a lot of crochet and I do mean a lot!

I've published my first photo tutorial for beginners. You can find it here:

I've designed and completed two beginner-friendly projects and written the patterns.

There's one published pattern available on my Etsy store here on the blog and the Etsy website as I needed to add a listing to the Etsy store to open it. It can be found here and you can see a sneak peek of the other here.

Both completed patterns will soon be available here as free photo tutorials in the Learn to Crochet and Free Patterns sections of the blog. I just need to finish photographing all the steps.

The PDF patterns are written and will be available from Etsy and Ravelry (for a nominal fee) if you would prefer a standard pattern that can be printed or added to your favourite PDF reader to keep and annotate. I always prefer a PDF pattern as applications such as books allow you to make notes on the pattern as you work.

Two more projects are in the design phase and near completion

6 other informative blog posts are pending that contain useful stuff like UK/US conversion charts that I'm constantly having to look up.

I even gave recording video tutorials a try and my first attempts are only fit for a blooper reel. My nervous stuttering was accompanied by barking dogs, a chatty husband and a hilariously loud snoring puppy in the background. She was a tough audience. I'll have another try in a few days.

I'm amazed at how much I crammed into the last few days.... and I still found time to buy yarn!

You'll start seeing the results here soon. Thank you for your patience.

Have a lovely weekend.
